THE EUROPE'S DANCE COMPANIES COMPETITION

About us

The Best On is the competition for professional urban dance companies that takes place in Lleida, under the direction of Dancescape.

There are already seven editions that have been carried out with a 100% participation success both by professionals, more than 370 dancers in the last edition, and by the audience, the event in all its editions has achieved sold out.

This contest is held over a weekend in November in the city of Lleida.

Our reason for being

The Best On wants to support professional urban dance choreographers, companies and dancers, promoting their work within the performing arts.

This discipline currently has millions of followers and more and more media, artists, shows and the public are demanding this style for their productions.

Thus, this urban dance contest is focused on the work of continuing to disseminate and provide traceability to professional urban dance projects. As professionals in the sector, we see ourselves with the obligation to support each other and create meeting spaces and connectivity both among ourselves and with the hearings.

Through a choreographic contest, the festival participants find a meeting point where they can interrelate, open up to a new territory, present their latest works, from which we all draw on the new evolutionary trends of the discipline itself, and in turn present it to the public.

The purpose of the contest is, as we have already described, to give full visibility to the current situation of the discipline in this annual meeting of urban dance professionals.
Making companies, choreographers and dancers known is essential; Thus, we also help them promote their proposals and promote them in the market, fostering cooperation both nationally and internationally.
